Tiger Attacks 8-Year-Old in Sanjay Gandhi National Park

Mumbai, 25th January 2025.

An 8-year-old boy was attacked by a tiger in Sanjay Gandhi National Park yesterday. The incident shocked visitors and raised concerns about safety in the park.

The boy and his family had gone near a restricted area despite warning signs. A tiger, disturbed by their presence, attacked the child. Park staff quickly rescued him and gave him first aid. He was then taken to the hospital and is now safe and recovering. Park officials have closed the area and reminded visitors to follow safety rules while visiting the park.

Without wasting time, Amol ran into the forest. After looking around, he found a little girl stuck near a deep ditch. She was scared and could not climb out. Amol stayed calm and quickly thought of a way to help. He found a strong stick, tied his scarf to it, and lowered it into the ditch. He told the girl to hold on tightly, and with all his strength, he pulled her out.

The girl was safe but still scared. Amol walked her back to the village, where her parents were searching for her. They were so happy and thankful to see their daughter safe. Amol told everyone what had happened, and the villagers praised him for his courage and quick thinking.

Everyone praised Amol’s courage and presence of mind.
